Great news for all Canadian Tarte customers: Duties and taxes have been lowered! 😀

Tarte Cosmetics states in an e-mail:

“We are excited to announce that we will now be covering a portion of duties and taxes for our Canadian tartelettes!

This means that you’ll be paying lower duties and taxes charges on your tarte.com orders, so you can shop worry free”

Yay! 😀

Naturally, I had to test! With a total purchase amount of $31, on April 25th, I paid $6.46 in duties and taxes. Upon testing today with a mock basket of exactly $31, duties and taxes are now only $4.36! A difference of $2.10! 😀

This is a great move on Tarte’s part; It’s refreshing to see brands extending their love, even in these small ways, towards us as Canadian shoppers.
