Entry Period: The Sephora Canada Lunar New Year Lucky Red Envelope Promotion (the “Contest” or “Promotion”) is sponsored by Sephora Beauty Canada, Inc. (“Sponsor” or “Sephora”). The Contest begins on January 14, 2019 at 12:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends when there are no longer any Envelopes (as defined below) remaining or on February 28, 2019 at 11:59 pm ET, whichever occurs first (the “Contest Period”).
Eligibility: The Contest is open to residents of Canada who are of age of majority or older in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry and who have a Sephora Beauty Insider account (no purchase or payment is necessary to sign up for a Sephora Beauty Insider account). Employees, representatives or agents of Sephora, its parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions and all advertising, media buying and promotional agencies, are ineligible, as well as members of the immediate family of, or persons domiciled with, any of those described above. Immediate family means parents, siblings, children or spouse.
How to Enter: NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST OR TO RECEIVE A PRIZE. A PURCHASE WILL NOT AFFECT OR IMPROVE THE CHANCES OF WINNING.
200,000 Promotion red envelopes (“Envelopes”) will be available for distribution at the outset of the Contest Period. The number of Envelopes available will be reduced as they are obtained throughout the Contest Period. You may obtain an Envelope, while supplies last, in the following ways:
In-store: Visit a Sephora retail store in Canada during store hours during the Contest Period and make a merchandise purchase of at least $88 CAD (before taxes) and receive one (1) Envelope, while supplies last. Purchases of gift cards and services are not eligible.
Online: Visit www.sephora.ca during the Contest Period, make an online merchandise purchase of at least $88 CAD (before taxes) and enter the promotion code LUCKY RED in the promotion code box at checkout, and receive one (1) Envelope, which will be shipped with your merchandise purchase, while supplies last. Purchases of gift cards and services are not eligible.
No Purchase/mail-in: To enter the Contest without making a purchase, mail a self-addressed envelope bearing sufficient return postage and your return mailing address (full name, street address, city/town, province/territory, and postal code) to: Sephora Beauty Canada, Inc., 5560 Explorer Drive, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, L4W 5M3 ATTN: Marketing (a “Request”). Requests must be postmarked by January 23, 2019. Each Request must be mailed separately (i.e. one (1) Request per envelope). There is a limit of one (1) Request per week per household.
Each Envelope will contain a scratch card. Scratch the card to reveal a message. If the message says “Lucky you! Enjoy $88 off your next purchase of $100 or more” you are eligible to win the Coupon Prize. If the message says “Lucky You! Enjoy $888 at Sephora!” you are eligible to win the Grand Prize. If the message says “Not a winner” or any other message, you do not win a prize.
Prizes: The prizes are as follows:
Coupon Prize: Each Coupon Prize consists of a unique one-time use coupon code for $88 CAD off an eligible online merchandise purchase of at least $100 CAD (before taxes) at http://www.sephora.ca, between January 24, 2019 at 12:01 AM and February 28, 2019 at 11:59 PM ET. There are 100 Coupon Prizes available to be won at the outset of the Contest. The number of Coupon Prizes available will be reduced as they are won over the course of the Contest Period. The odds of winning a Coupon Prize are 1 in 2000. The value of each Coupon prize is CAD$88.
Grand Prize: The Grand Prize consists of a CAD$888 Sephora Canada gift card. There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won at the outset of the contest. The odds of winning the Grand Prize are 1 in 200,000. The value of the Grand Prize is CAD$888.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded, may not be refunded or transferred, and are not convertible to cash. Coupon codes and gift cards are subject to applicable terms and conditions and certain exclusions apply. See coupon or gift card (as applicable) for details. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute all or a portion of a prize with a prize or prizes of equal or greater value for any reason.
All entries are subject to verification.
Prior to being declared a winner of the Grand Prize, the potential winner must first: (i) contact Sephora at 905-206-7620 to obtain instructions for verifying that the scratch card revealed the Grand Prize message; (ii) correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question; (iii) if required, complete sign and return a declaration of compliance with these Official Rules and a liability and publicity release (the “Promotion releases”); and (iv) otherwise be in compliance with these Official Rules. If a potential winner fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, fails to sign and return any required Promotion releases within the time specified on such releases and/or otherwise is not in compliance with these Official Rules, he/she will be disqualified and forfeits the prize. In the event a potential winner is disqualified or not eligible, he/she shall not be awarded the prize, that prize may not be awarded, and Sponsor shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. Grand Prize will be mailed to the confirmed winner within 2 to 3 weeks of confirmation.
By accepting a prize or portion of a prize, winner agrees that the Sponsor may photograph or video the winner and authorizes the Sponsor to broadcast, publish and disseminate winner’s name, city and province of residence, photograph, video, likeness, comment and voice, in connection with any promotion or publicity with no further compensation.

General Conditions: Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, or undelivered entries or correspondence, or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, printer errors, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion. In no event will more prizes be awarded than stated in these Official Rules. By participating, you agree (i) to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which are final and binding, and (ii) to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Sephora USA, Inc. and each of their subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (the “Released Parties”) against any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Promotion or acceptance, use or misuse of any prize.
