Here’s a look at the new Hudson’s Bay Rewards Program:
New Tiers & More Points!
“With a tiered Rewards program, [Hudson’s Bay is] able to reward [their] most loyal shoppers with more points. As you achieve a higher tier over the course of a calendar year, you will earn more points. Every January 1 all Rewards members start over at the base Rewards tier.”
- Rewards ($1–$399.99)
- $1 = 1 point
- Access to exclusive savings and special events.
- Rewards Plus ($400 – $1199.992)
- $1 = 1.5 points
- “Hudson’s Bay Rewards Plus tier Members will also qualify for additional benefits as communicated by Hudson’s Bay from time to time.”
- Rewards VIP ($12002 or more)
- $1 = 2 points
- “Hudson’s Bay Rewards VIP tier Members will also qualify for additional benefits as communicated by Hudson’s Bay from time to time.”
2 Plus, two (2) separate purchases, on different days, must be made.
For all tiers:
“*Before taxes, net of returns, in a minimum of two purchase visits in a calendar year. Accelerated points continue until December 31 of the year in which you qualify. Annual requalification is required.“
“A Member cannot move from one tier to another during a transaction. Once a Member makes a purchase which promotes the Member to a higher tier, the Member will begin receiving the benefits of such higher tier following such purchase.”

Exchange, convert or earn points faster with participating loyalty programs including RBC Rewards, Air Miles, Petro-Points and AskingCanadians.- Air Miles: “Arrange to automatically convert your Hudson’s Bay Rewards points into Air Miles Reward Miles on a weekly basis. Hudson’s Bay Rewards points can be converted at a rate of 40 points for 1 Air Miles Reward Mile.”
- Asking Canadians: “Earn more Hudson’s Bay Rewards points for every survey you complete from AskingCanadians.”
- Petro-Points: “Earn 20% more Hudson’s Bay Rewards points at Hudson’s Bay stores, thebay.com and Petro-Canada when you link your Rewards account with Petro-Points.”
- RBC Rewards: “Get 2 Hudson’s Bay Rewards points for every RBC Rewards point or 1 RBC Rewards point for every 4 Hudson’s Bay points you convert.”
New Changes / Updates

In order to redeem Rewards points, you must first create a PIN. Log into your account and view your Profile to create your PIN.
- You can now track your points with ease.
- “Link your membership to your account on thebay.com to track your points as you shop and receive exclusive offers.”
- You can now go card free.
- To earn points in-store, simply provide your e-mail address or phone number.
- When shopping online, ensure that your HBC card number and/or Hudson’s Bay Credit account is/are linked to your Hudson’s Bay Rewards account, and you’ll automatically earn points.
- You can no longer combine or share points.
- If you are a primary cardholder, you’ll keep your points.
- However, if you were a supplemental cardholder for an account, you’ll need to create a new account for yourself to start earning points.
New Program Store Launch Dates
Hudson’s Bay’s new Rewards Program has not yet taken effect in all stores.
