More Hudson’s Bay stores are scheduled to open this Tuesday!

Beginning May 19, 2020, Hudson’s Bay’s stores in Nova Scotia, Quebec (select locations), Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia will re-open.

However, to ensure everyone’s safety, please note the following measures that Hudson’s Bay has put in place:

STORE HOURS | Find a store
- All stores will be subject to reduced store hours.
- Hudson’s Bay will open an hour early at 11am for seniors and frontline workers.
MODIFIED SERVICE
- Single-use samples will be available.
- Service will be modified to ensure physical distancing.
SANITATION
- Hand sanitizer stations will be available.
- Stores will be frequently sanitized.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING
- All customers are asked to maintain 6 feet between yourself and others.
CASHLESS PAYMENT
- All customers are asked to use debit or credit.

Holt Renfrew Canada Stores Open & Re-Opening Dates Update in Response to Coronavirus COVID-19 - Glossense

Holt Renfrew’s stores are slowly re-opening.

Currently, the Calgary location is now open, and Vancouver’s store is scheduled to re-open Tuesday, May 19th.

As per Holt Renfrew’s website:

“Following the legal guidance from federal and provincial health authorities, our stores will be opening on the following dates:”

Calgary – Now Open
Holt Renfrew Ogilvy – Temporarily Closed
Vancouver – Re-opens May 19, 2020
Bloor Street – Temporarily Closed
Holt Renfrew Men – Temporarily Closed
Yorkdale – Temporarily Closed
Square One – Temporarily Closed”

Additionally, to ensure everyone’s safety, please note the following in-store measures that Holt Renfrew has put in place, and what you can expect:

Housekeeping:

Pre-opening deep clean

Increased sanitization of all high touch areas, including door handles, elevator buttons, fitting rooms, and restrooms

Additional Porter staff in-store for guidance and assistance

Associates have been trained in new Health & Safety efforts and policies

Hygiene:

Hand sanitizer is available at all store entrances and customers and employees must sanitize their hands upon entry

All Associates will wear disposable gloves and masks

Gloves and masks are available for customers upon request

All high touch surfaces, including POS, PIN pads, and phones, will be sanitized after each use

Fitting Rooms will be sanitized after each use

Cash payments will not be accepted for the time being

The Touchless Tap limit for credit cards has been raised to $250

Signage will be present in-store to help outline and offer guidance on all new protocols

In-store Circulation:

Reduced store hours

Reduced entrances

Greeters will be present to manage flow and advise on mandatory hand sanitization at entry points

Stanchions will be used to support controlled access to stores

Reminders will be present on the floor to indicate 2 metre distance in key areas”

Hudson’s Bay’s Hours | Effective March 16, 2020:
Monday-Saturday, 12pm-6pm & Sunday, 12pm-5pm.
Events postponed until May 15, 2020.
Return policy has been extended by 30-days.
Makeup applications have been temporarily suspended.
Tailoring and fitting services have been temporarily suspended.

Today, March 16, 2020, Hudson’s Bay’s new reduced hours will take effect:

“We have made the decision to reduce store hours. Our new hours will go into effect beginning Monday, March 16 at all Hudson’s Bay locations across Canada. Stores will now operate Monday – Saturday 12 – 6pm, Sunday 12-5pm. We believe this is the right decision for the time-being.”

Attention all Shoppers Drug Mart & SDM Beauty Boutique customers:

In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and as it continues to be monitored, several retailers are taking precautionary steps to ensure the safety of all.

Pictured above, is a photo captured from a Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutique in Camrose, Alberta.

The beauty enthusiast, who preferred not to be named, alerted a Facebook community with the news that, as of today, ALL makeup, skincare, perfume and misc. product testers were being removed from displays and shelves within stores.

Upon reaching out, she also had this to say:

Glossense: “Do you know if they’re disposing of them entirely? Or collecting and sanitizing for future use?”

Beauty Enthusiast: “The lady in management said it came from head office. They need to be inventoried, labeled and sanitized and bagged until further direction.”

At this time, Shoppers Drug Mart, and its Beauty Boutique, has not released its own direct statement. However, Shoppers Drug Mart’s pharmacies have been addressed in PC Optimum’s official statement. Additionally, upon calling one of my local stores within Ontario, I can confirm that Shoppers Drug Mart is taking steps to ensure everyone’s safety, and that my location had also removed its product testers.

TL;DR NOTE: As of today, and until further notice, do not expect ANY product testers within Shoppers Drug Mart stores.
