Hudson’s Bay’s Manitoba stores are now open!

However, to ensure everyone’s safety, please note the following measures that Hudson’s Bay has put in place:

  • STORE HOURS | Find a store
    • All stores will be subject to reduced store hours.
    • Hudson’s Bay will open an hour early at 11am for seniors and frontline workers.
  • MODIFIED SERVICE
    • Single-use samples will be available.
    • Service will be modified to ensure physical distancing.
  • SANITATION
    • Hand sanitizer stations will be available.
    • Stores will be frequently sanitized.
  • PHYSICAL DISTANCING
    • All customers are asked to maintain 6 feet between yourself and others.
  • CASHLESS PAYMENT
    • All customers are asked to use debit or credit.

In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and as it continues to be monitored, several retailers are taking precautionary steps to ensure the safety of all.

Hudson’s Bay, in their efforts to keep everyone safe, has remained on top of the situation at hand:

TL;DR NOTE:

  • Hudson’s Bay’s Hours | Effective March 16, 2020:
    Monday-Saturday, 12pm-6pm & Sunday, 12pm-5pm.
  • Events postponed until May 15, 2020.
  • Return policy has been extended by 30-days.
  • Makeup applications have been temporarily suspended.
  • Tailoring and fitting services have been temporarily suspended.

Today, March 16, 2020, Hudson’s Bay’s new reduced hours will take effect:

“We have made the decision to reduce store hours. Our new hours will go into effect beginning Monday, March 16 at all Hudson’s Bay locations across Canada. Stores will now operate Monday – Saturday 12 – 6pm, Sunday 12-5pm. We believe this is the right decision for the time-being.”

Attention all Shoppers Drug Mart & SDM Beauty Boutique customers:

In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and as it continues to be monitored, several retailers are taking precautionary steps to ensure the safety of all.

Pictured above, is a photo captured from a Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutique in Camrose, Alberta.

The beauty enthusiast, who preferred not to be named, alerted a Facebook community with the news that, as of today, ALL makeup, skincare, perfume and misc. product testers were being removed from displays and shelves within stores.

Upon reaching out, she also had this to say:

Glossense: “Do you know if they’re disposing of them entirely? Or collecting and sanitizing for future use?”

Beauty Enthusiast: “The lady in management said it came from head office. They need to be inventoried, labeled and sanitized and bagged until further direction.”

At this time, Shoppers Drug Mart, and its Beauty Boutique, has not released its own direct statement. However, Shoppers Drug Mart’s pharmacies have been addressed in PC Optimum’s official statement. Additionally, upon calling one of my local stores within Ontario, I can confirm that Shoppers Drug Mart is taking steps to ensure everyone’s safety, and that my location had also removed its product testers.

TL;DR NOTE: As of today, and until further notice, do not expect ANY product testers within Shoppers Drug Mart stores.
