For those who were up late last night, you may have noticed that your Beauty Insider points were reduced to 0, along with a prompt to ‘Join Beauty Insider’. Not to worry! Everyone’s points have been reinstated. 😀

All BI accounts were temporarily unreachable as a result of Sephora’s latest update…

…The NEW opportunity to combine multiple promo codes! 😀

As of today, if you’re the proud owner (or future owner) of a $100 Rouge Reward, you should now be able to add and combine a Gift with Purchase (GWP) Beauty Offer promo code, with your Rouge Reward code.

How do I add more than one promo code to my order?

  1. At checkout, enter a promo or reward code and click ‘APPLY’.
  2. Repeat; Enter your alternate secondary code and click ‘APPLY’.
  3. That’s it! 🙂

Currently, GWP Beauty Offers cannot be stacked upon other GWP Beauty Offers, but as time progresses, this may change.

Well, we finally have an update to Sephora’s Weekly Wow deals for Canadians, and… we’re not off to a good start for 2019. :/

As stated in Sephora’s Beauty Insider Community:

“Happy Tuesday! Before we get started here are a few reminders and an update on Canada’s participation in this promotion.

  • Canada will start having a Week of Wow once per month from now on and will receive unique CANADA-ONLY offers. This week is Canada’s Week of Wow, so we hope you enjoy these deals”

It’s the first Thursday of the new year and Sephora’s Weekly Wow Canadian deals, for January 3, 2019, are… non-existent. :/

As stated in Sephora’s Beauty Insider Community:

“Happy 2019 BIC! I hope you all had the happiest of holidays and 2019 is off to a great start. We have a handful of Weekly WOWs coming to the US starting on 1/3. Before we get started here are a few reminders and an update on Canada’s participation in Weekly Wow.

  • Deals go live each Thursday and most are only on sale for one week only
  • When items sell out, they are gone so I suggest snagging your favorite deals early
  • The deals below are only available in the US. Our Canadian counterparts have let us know that there will be unique offers for Canada later this month. We know that these deals have been inconsistent for our Canadian Community members and understand your frustrations. We do our best to stay up to date and keep you in the loop on what Canada will be offering and inform you of any changes or decisions they make. We will continue to work hard and pass all your feedback along to our Canadian partners.”

We’re assured, by Sephora’s BIC Admin, that Weekly Wow deals for Canadians will be returning later this month, though I do hope that this doesn’t become a trend for us.

“Hello BIC,

We just heard some exciting news and wanted to let you know before anyone else. We have a big change this year for our Holiday Bonus promotion. We are inviting VIB and Rouge back to shop the final weekend, along with our Insiders. Now all of our Beauty Insiders, regardless of tier, will be able to shop the final weekend of the promotion!

Sephora Canada Beauty Insider Canadian Rewards Program Earn Double Points Redeem Prizes 2x 3x - Glossense

As promised, we’re back with an update!

Since the launch of Sephora’s ‘upgraded’ Beauty Insider program, we’ve seen a number of changes: Some highs, some lows, and a few uncertainties in between. As we near the end of 2018 and rapidly approach 2019, it’s likely that we’ll see even more changes that will shape the future of the program.

The newest and best highlight? An increase in points for VIB and Rouge.

Pre-August 2018, all tiers were equal; For every one dollar ($1) spent, one (1) Beauty Insider point was earned. During bonus point multiplier events, the same was true.

Post-August 2018, we saw a shift that now rightfully awards higher tiers a bonus for their loyalty:

• Beauty Insiders > $1 = 1 point
• VIB Members > $1 = 1.25 points
• Rouge Members > $1 = 1.5 points

Not bad, right? 🙂

Sooooo…..

How are Sephora Beauty Insider points distributed for VIB / Rouge during bonus point multiplier (2X, 3X) promos / events?

They aren’t. All tiers are treated equally. 😮

I shouldn’t be surprised… but, I am.

Upon contacting Sephora regarding an order where NO extra multiplier points were awarded* during their ‘3X the points on fragrance’ event, I also asked for clarity on point distribution, given the program’s makeover, as a Rouge member. To put the response that I received simply:

During ‘2X the points’ events:
Beauty Insiders / VIB / Rouge: $1 = 2 points

During ‘3X the points’ events:
Beauty Insiders / VIB / Rouge: $1 = 3 points

Despite the program’s ‘upgrade’ and shift to honour VIB’s and Rouge’s loyalty, the program regresses during their bonus point multiplier events; Zero extra ‘status points’ are awarded to VIB and Rouge.

* I’ll add, there appears to be some kinks in the upgraded system; Keep an eye on your points during bonus point multiplier days. During their ‘3X the points on fragrance’ event, I was awarded basic points ($1 = 1 pt) + Rouge status points (0.5 extra points per dollar) and that was it. In the event that bonus multiplier points aren’t awarded, contact customer service; They kindly corrected and updated my points’ balance to reflect their ‘3X the points on fragrance’ promo. 🙂
